Eliza Sydney began studying the harp at age 8 and has been performing professionally for over 20 years, playing at ceremonies, sound meditations, and hospice and healthcare facilities as well as private events. Prominently, Eliza was a guest harpist with the band Weezer. Additionally her talents have led her to collaborate with recording studios, where she’s created arrangements and recorded on albums, including the Grammy-winning "Infinity Plus One" by Secret Agent 23 Skidoo (Best Children's Album, 2017).

 

As a Certified Healthcare Musician with a focus in Vibrational Medicine and as a Certified Sound Healing Practitioner, Eliza plays the harp from her heartspace, using sound and vibration to invoke and support alternative consciousness. This creates a state of deep peace and allows release for participants where they can access the innate self-healing powers we all possess. Her sessions open a space for healing and harmony for all four parts of self. Eliza uses Concert Harp, Vibrotactile Devices, Therapy Harp, Reverie Harp and Ngoni as well as Crystal Sound Bowls, Voice, Tibetan Singing Bowls, Chimes, Ocean Drum, Gongs, and Effects Pedals along with Bio-sonification (Music of the Plants) and nature sounds during her healing sessions. At the heart of Eliza’s mission is the belief in the transformative power of sound. She seeks to elevate the harp as a central instrument in sound healing, blending ancient traditions with modern approaches to support wellbeing.

 

Eliza believes and recognizes the importance of sacred moments and rituals in the healing process, she looks forward to creating space for these practices to be integrated into individual and group sessions. Eliza believes in the potential for personal and communal growth through sound, empowering individuals to embrace their authentic selves and foster meaningful connections with others.
